🎯Why I Deleted Half My Digital Tools (and Don’t Regret It)
I used to think more tools meant more productivity.
More apps = more structure. More dashboards = more clarity. Right?
Wrong.
At one point, I had over 25 different tools in my workflow — for writing, planning, note-taking, analytics, SEO, image editing… the list was exhausting.
So I did something bold (and slightly scary):
🧹 I deleted half of them. Literally.
And it changed everything.
💭 What Made Me Do It?
- I was spending more time organizing than creating
- Every tool had a login, update, or learning curve
- I was constantly switching between tabs and losing focus
One day, I looked at my screen and thought: “What if I just go back to basics?”
🛠️ What I Kept (and Why)
- Notion: One central place for planning, notes, calendar
- Google Docs: Drafting and final edits
- Canva: Quick and clean design work
- Grammarly: For clarity and tone
- Google Analytics: Basic performance tracking
That’s it. Everything else had to prove its worth — and most didn’t.
📈 What Happened Next
- ✔ I worked faster — no switching between apps
- ✔ I felt calmer — less noise, less clutter
- ✔ I spent more time creating than configuring
Minimalism isn't just for your home — it works wonders in your digital life too.
🔄 What You Can Try
- 1. Make a list of all the tools you use
- 2. Ask: Do I use this weekly? Does it help or slow me down?
- 3. Keep 5–7 essentials. Delete the rest.
You can always add something back. But chances are — you won’t miss it.
